Achille Njike joined Sibelco in 2023 and serves as Executive Vice President of Operations, Americas, where he brings significant experience in safety and operational excellence. Mr. Njike is also a member of Sibelco’s Executive Committee.
Prior to joining Sibelco, Mr. Njike served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Tacora Resources, a North American iron ore mining and development company serving high demand customers around the globe, and also held senior leadership roles of increasing responsibility at Rio Tinto and ArcelorMittal. He has extensive international experience in mining and processing operations, asset management, business transformation, and operational excellence, and is a highly regarded servant leader.
Mr. Njike holds a Master of Science degree in industrial engineering from the University of Manchester, a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the École de Technologie Supérieure de Montreal, a second Ph.D. in mineral economics from McGill University, an executive MBA, and a certificate in executive leadership from IMD.
Mr. Njike is a licensed Professional Engineer, certified PMP, and certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt.
